Employee Benefits Research Institute (EBRI) members rely on EBRI research to make savvy business decisions about workplace programs. Our team translated the academic language into plain language so that executives could quickly glean the financial or human capital impact.

The Employee Benefits Research Institute offers independent data and analysis primarily to policy makers and HR leaders. To reach executives who aren’t fluent in the technical and legal terms of ERISA benefits, EBRI wanted a fresh take on the language in their reports.

Our team’s central task: reach two different kinds of readers with different aims for the same information. We needed to summarize research insights in business terms without diluting the research or losing the wonky essence.

We summarized actionable insights without disrupting the standard flow of academic research. By using charts to tell stories not just document data, we were able to highlight the take-aways for senior leaders.
